Position

Tony Singla KC has a broad practice which covers all areas of Commercial Law. He took silk in 2021 at only 14 years’ call. According to Legal 500 “Tony’s promotion to silk so quickly is testament to his brilliance. He is one of the future stars at the commercial Bar”.  Chambers & Partners says he is “more than capable of leading a team in the largest and most complex of disputes”.

Tony is regularly instructed as the lead advocate in the High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Competition Appeal Tribunal, and he has also appeared on numerous occasions in the Supreme Court.  In addition, Tony has a substantial arbitration practice and he appears frequently before tribunals under LCIA, ICC, and other rules.

Tony is recommended as a leading silk in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 in eight fields: Banking and Finance, Civil Fraud, Commercial Litigation, Competition Law, Group Litigation, Insurance, Professional Discipline, and Professional Negligence. He is also recommended in Who’s Who Legal for Banking and Finance and Competition Law.  For many years Tony has been instructed in the highest-profile and highest-value cases in each of these fields, including more than 10 of The Lawyer’s Top 20 cases in the last 10 years. He has particular expertise in group litigation having acted in a number of shareholder claims and competition class actions.
