Career

Natela’s work focuses on IPT, litigation, regulatory, tax and customs. She has advised and assisted various companies, in registering and defending their IP rights in Georgia, as well as participated in various litigations, including employment, inheritance and land rights.

She also focuses on franchise transactions, personal data issues, regulatory issues related to the telecommunications, advertisement, pharmaceutical industry, betting and gaming business. In addition, she has advised various companies including international retail and financial companies regarding complex Georgian taxation issues.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Natela was in-house counsel and head of the legal departments of several prominent Georgian banks (Tbiluniversal Bank, Absolute Bank and Cartu Bank). Natela also received specialized training in banking law and undertook practical training at Bankakademie in Frankfurt and Deutsche Kreditbank AG in Dresden, Germany. In 2010, Natela worked as a seconded associate with DLA Piper (US) LLP in New York, NY.
