Brazil > Dispute Resolution: Arbitration

Souto Correa Advogados houses a team of ‘judicious‘ dispute resolution lawyers, who showcase strong capabilities in ‘highly complex commercial arbitrations‘ before Brazilian and international arbitral tribunals. Construction disputes and proceedings involving the energy and natural resources sectors are at the core of the arbitration department, which is also retained by an array of corporate clients in cases concerning shareholder and post-M&A issues. The practice is jointly led by three practitioners: founding partner Guilherme Rizzo Amaral, who is based in Porto Alegre and recommended for his ‘knowledge of dispute resolution in various jurisdictions‘, Luis Alberto Peretti and Jorge Cesa in São Paulo. Laura Ghitti, who joined the São Paulo office as a senior associate from Mattos Filho in January 2023, focuses on commercial arbitration and possesses a strong background in cross-border matters. Marcelo Gandelman is no longer at the firm.
