Mr. Cruzat has great experience in the fields of Banking & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and General Corporate Advice. He advises national and foreign clients, with diverse matters, such as project finance, securities regulators, insurance and banking and in international relations.

Career

Prior joining Fischer y Cía. in 2021, Gerardo Cruzat led the Presidency of the Board of the company responsible for the financial business of the Corona group, and the Vice-Presidency of the remaining operating companies of its retail business. Previously, he headed, as a partner since 2016, the Banking & Finances practice of Prieto Abogados (from 2012 to 2016 he was a Senior Associate); and before, he was Senior Associate at Philippi, Yrarrázaval, Pulido & Brunner (now PPU Legal), International Associate at Clearly Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP (New York) and at Uría Menéndez (Madrid).

Gerardo Cruzat earned his Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and his LL.M. from the Duke University School of Law, Durham.
