In addition, she daily advises clients in merger control and investigation proceedings before the Argentine Competition Commission.

Mercedes obtained her law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2006). She also has postgraduate degrees in Business and Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina (2008) and antitrust and unfair competition from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2012) and the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2011). Prior to joining Beccar Varela, she worked at Fortunati & Associados, Baker & McKenzie, and Estudio O’Farrell.
She has also broad experience in Spanish and European Law. She obtained her Legal Sciences LLM from the University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain (2010) and the recognition of her Law Degree by the Spanish Government in 2014. She also worked as foreign associate at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados SLP (Barcelona, Spain, 2015) in corporate and antitrust practice areas.
