Luisa Núñez has experience in Corporate and Financing areas, Corporate matters, Cross-border Transactions involving finance transactions (both corporate and project finance), Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions and Joint-ventures.

She has worked extensively in projects involving regulatory authorities in the Chilean securities and public works concessions areas. She has represented a range of clients including multinational corporations, banks, financial advisers and monoline insurers.

Ms. Núñez is the titular professor of the Financing and Derivative Transactions course in the Master in Business Law at the Law School of the Adolfo Ibáñez University.

From the year 2005 to 2006 she pursued an LL.M. degree at Columbia Law School, which included a Project Finance course from the MBA Program at Columbia Business School.

During the years 2006 and 2007 she worked as a foreign intern with the Project Finance Team at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, New York office.

She joined Claro & Cia. in 1999 and became partner in 2011.

Leveraging its market-leading project finance and project development expertise, Claro & Cia. houses a go-to practice for the development, construction, operation, acquisition, disposition, ownership and financing of energy and infrastructure projects. Representative specialisms range from power plants (hydro, wind and solar), to transmission lines and sub-stations, gas plants and liquified gas terminals. Representative specialisms include power plants, transmission lines and substations, and greenfield and brownfield projects undertaken on a non-recourse project finance basis. The team is also highly involved in the accords required for the development of projects, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and operation and maintenance (O&M), agreements, along with transmission, interconnection, supply and power purchase contracts. The team’s recent experience also covers project bond financings and infrastructure-related public concessions.
