Career
Tad is the co-leader of the firm’s Bankruptcy/Restructuring practice group. His practice includes representing parties in out-of-court and bankruptcy court financial restructurings across the county. His clients include private-equity firms, hedge funds, secured lenders, investors, debtors, unsecured creditors, boards of directors and various official and ad hoc committees. His practice also includes structuring distressed acquisition, financing and real estate transactions, as well as advising clients on insolvency and counter-party risks related to mergers, acquisitions and general corporate transactions.
Tad’s representations this year include Superior Energy (counsel for debtors), Hi Crush (counsel for debtors), Sable Permian (counsel for debtors) and Lonestar Resources (counsel for debtors) all filed chapter 11 in Houston; KeyBank National Association in Edgemarc Energy Holding’s chapter 11 case in Delaware (counsel for lender and agent); and Arena Investors, LLC in Buzzard Bench chapter 11 case in Houston (counsel for DIP lender and chapter 11 plan proponent).
