Indraj is a partner in the Finance group based in London. Indraj specialises in project finance, asset finance, Islamic finance and leveraged finance. Indraj leads the Clean Energy Group's global project finance team .

In the clean energy space Indraj has experience in advising sponsors, infrastructure funds, equity, funds and banks on renewables projects using all types of technologies including on shore and offshore wind, biomass (waste wood, wood chip and straw), tidal, anaerobic digestion and solar both in the UK and internationally.

Indraj advised the sponsors and equity on the first portfolio facility in the market both before and after the introduction of the EIB assisted funding scheme. He has also advised sponsors on both Round 2 and Round 3 offshore wind farm project in the structuring of their shareholding arrangements (including unincorporated joint ventures and the fixed PPA structure) to ensure that they are bankable from a project financing perspective. He is currently advising the sponsors on what is currently the largest offshore wind farm site in the world and the sponsors on a 2 gig watt biomass conversion project. 

In addition through the UK Feed In Tariff scheme he was involved in advising lenders and utilities on the financing of solar projects (both roof top and ground based) from an asset finance and project financing perspective and maintaining the ability to securitize these assets and cash flows in the future.

In respect of Indraj' asset finance experience Indraj advises lessors and lessees on UK and cross border leasing transactions involving all types of assets including trains, ships, planes and general plant and machinery. He also has experience in advising on asset finance transactions involving Ijara leases.

Indraj also spends part of his time in our Middle East offices advising on projects in the Middle east and on Islamic finance transactions. Notable transactions Indraj has advised on involving clients from the middle East are the financing of the Shard of Glass building in London, the re-structuring of a £5 billion pan European and MENA property portfolio and advising and structuring the one of the first Sukuk issues in Qatar.
