Andrew Legg

Work Department
Andrew is a senior litigation partner based in our London office. He has a wealth of litigation and contentious regulatory experience, much of which has been international or involved a cross border element.
His practice focuses on banking and financial services, insolvency related disputes, investigations and regulatory enforcement work. In addition, he has advised on M&A disputes, professional liability matters (both claims and defence), TMT disputes and disputes involving complex trust arrangements.
For many years, Andrew has been consistently ranked as a leading individual for both commercial litigation and banking litigation by the main UK and Global Legal Directories. Past editions of Chambers UK and Legal 500 have referred to him as a "switched on" and "user-friendly" lawyer, as "experienced and sensible" and noted praise for his commercial approach and eye for detail.
Andrew has authored many articles on a range of legal issues and presents frequently at both public and private conferences and seminars.

Practice head David Flack defends wholesale banks against claims of fraud, and also acts for them in enforcement proceedings, while Mark Cooper has carved out a niche in handling matters involving freezing orders. Jennifer Miles stands out for her work on group claims and fraud-related litigation. Andrew Legg retired from the partnership in May 2021 and is now a senior consultant.
