Career

As an attorney and 2012 certified Senior Project Manager IPMA Level B, Markus Naef advises companies on legal safeguards and execution of complex projects. His particular focus is on IT contracts and data protection law.

Markus Naef holds a Master of Laws from the University of Fribourg and is admitted to the bar. In addition to his work as a legal practitioner, he was Chief Operating Officer of a Swiss top ten law firm from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, he was Managing Partner of a management consultancy firm for ten years and managed projects in Switzerland and Germany. Markus Naef has numerous years of experience in the financial sector where he worked in various positions for 10 years, including Head of Market Management Business Clients in Switzerland. Originally trained in business administration, he is well familiar with issues relating to finance and accounting.

Markus Naef is a lecturer of IT law and project management at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen.

He is an entrepreneur, member of the board of directors of several companies and President of the Friends of Zurich Ballet at the Zurich Opera House.

Markus Naef is a part-time senior staff officer in the Swiss Army in the rank of Brigadier general.
