Position

Partner Julio Guadalupe leads our International Trade and Customs practice group.

Career

He provides consulting, planning and preventive auditing services in customs
and foreign trade matters. He sponsors contentious proceedings in customs and
foreign trade matters before the administrative authority and the Judiciary.

Julio is Past-President and director of the Peruvian Association of Customs Law
and International Trade and was a consultant of the Peruvian State for the elaboration of the current General Customs Law.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Trade Association
(XCOM) and has been President of the logistics sector of the XCOM Association of
the Lima Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the International
Academy of Customs Law, frequent lecturer in local and international forums and author of several works and articles specialized in customs and foreign trade matters.

Julio has been recognized as a leading lawyer in his specialty by prestigious
international publications such as Chambers & Partners, Who’s Who Legal and
Legal 500.

Led by Julio Guadalupe, the international trade and customs team at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados balances a broad practice, covering a range of customs planning and international trade operation matters, with a focus on the mining, oil and gas, power, technology, telecoms and automotive sectors.
