The team acts for numerous high-profile domestic and international companies, such as Telefónica del Perú, Citibank, Enel Distribución and Grupo La República. It is currently acting for major Peruvian retail conglomerate, Wong Group, in multiple cases against Bustamante Group related to the latters attempt to thwart Wong’s acquisition of a controlling stake in sugar company Azucarera Andahuasi (asset value $100m). Other matters include representing Interbank in several proceedings against tax authority SUNAT concerning the issue of whether unpaid interest amounts to income for tax purposes.
