Career

His professional practice focuses in domestic and international arbitration cases, including commercial, construction and regulatory disputes, as well as complex litigation disputes before judicial courts. Luis Alonso has also been involved in several investor-state arbitration disputes related to Perú and the Latin American region. He joined the firm as an Associate in 2011. Previously, he was international associate in the International Arbitration group of King & Spalding LLP in New York in 2016-2017. Luis Alonso is lawyer from Universidad de Lima with a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Economic Law, Business and Policy from Stanford Law School. He is assistant lecturer of the Commercial Arbitration course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú from 2018 to date.

The arbitration practice at Miranda & Amado is headed by Mauricio Raffo, who has more than 25 years of experience in arbitration, with a specialism in investor-state arbitration.
