Career

Carlos Andrés Sánchez lawyer from Los Andes University, admitted to practice in 2000. He also holds an LLM in telecommunications law from Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain (2002) and an MBA from Durham University Business School (2011). He has been recognised as a leading individual in the TMT and projects areas by Legal500 and Chambers and Partners.

Mr. Sánchez-García has been member of Durán & Osorio since 2000, and he is currently based in London. He is the head of the TMT Department and has a significant experience in the most important projects in the Colombian TMT practice area. he is also a member of the Projects department of the firm.

As the TMT head, Carlos provides permanent legal advice to important companies like Microsoft, Century Link (Level 3), or Hughes Network Systems -among others-. He has also advised the Colombian government on relevant projects and policies including the procurement of a new operator of the Colombian country code top level domain ccTLD .CO.

In the projects area, Mr Sanchez has gained significant experience across several sectors including social and transportation. He currently advises IFC on the first PPP project in Panama and the Bogotá District on a project for a new research and production centre of biological products.
