Position

Nick joined Weightmans as a partner in 2014, having qualified as a solicitor in 1984. He specialises in cross border litigation acting for European and English insurers involved in cases in England and Wales involving accidents abroad. He has detailed experience of the issues that arise in such cases involving choice of jurisdiction, applicable law and the Rome II Treaty.
In addition he has experience in severe brain injury and physical injury cases including tetraplegia.
Nick has spoken at a number of conferences on the legal and practical aspects of cross border litigation and the assessment of damages under Rome II.
