Position

Emerson joined Weightmans in 2003 and has been a partner in the Large Loss Team since 2005.  Emerson’s case load principally comprises traumatic brain injury and spinal injury cases.  He has a wealth of experience in technical and indemnity issues, together with rehabilitation and funding issues.

Emerson leads Weightmans’ Motor Technology Group, advising insurers on the legal, regulatory and practical implications of advancements in vehicle technologies, along with responding to government consultations and speaking at a wide variety of events/forums. He has also sat on the ABI Autonomous Driving Liability Group.

Emerson finds nothing more satisfying than being reappointed to a panel having considerably delivered for a key client.

Leisure

Has an interest in classic cars and skiing, previously having worked as a ski instructor.
