Position

Patricia heads the firm’s finance team and advises on all aspects of financial services. She provides advice to banks and borrowers on bilateral and syndicated facilities. She has particular expertise in public sector finance. Key clients include Santander,  Lloyds Bank Plc, Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund and the Midlands Engine.

 

This year Patricia has continued to provide key strategic advice on the impact of Brexit for European Structural Funds.

 

As one of the few solicitors nationally who acts on the establishment of Public Sector Funding schemes, establishment of legacy funds and utilising public and private sector money to create funding platforms for SMEs, this year Patricia has successfully won pitches to act for various fund managers in connection with their bids to be appointed to the £200million South West Investment Fund and the Investment Fund for Scotland.

Patricia has continued to provide advice nationally for bank lenders and borrowers on syndicated and bilateral banking documentation. This year Weightmans successfully maintained their position on Lloyds Bank Plc panel and continue to advise institutional lenders on all aspects of deal funding.

Liverpool-based public sector finance expert Patricia Grinyer, who is noted for her provision of ‘attention, dedication and support’, heads up the department at Weightmans LLP, which has strength in advising its clients on the structuring and deployment of technical schemes. The team’s workload consists of advising on high-profile and high-value matters including Octopus Capital’s creation of the Greener Homes Alliance, worth £175m; the group also continues to advise public sector funds on the impact of Brexit.
