Career

Le Net is the partner in charge of Singapore office of LNT & Partners. He is also in charge of financial services, infrastructure and arbitration practice group of the firm. In 2019 and early 2020, Net has been leading in a number of signature deals and cases, including: representing PetroVietnam in working with Nghi Son Refinery, acting for a number of subway construction projects in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, representing lender in a 8-bank syndication deal from China to Vietnam, representing Vingroup in a major M&A transaction, representing major renewable energy companies in wind power and solar power projects, winning an ICC construction arbitration case for Vietnam Expressway Corporation.

Net obtained LL.B from Warsaw University in 1996, LL.M from KU Leuven in 1997, Ph.D from London School of Economics in 2004.  He co-founded LNT & Partners in 2006.  He taught contracts at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and published widely in Vietnam and abroad. He is a panel arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) where he has chaired or co-arbitrated many leading cases, and also a panel arbitrator at Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). Net a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a CEDR accredited mediator.

Displaying an international practice that deals with cases involving market leading multinationals and some of the country’s largest service providers, LNT & Partners‘s team is led by Net Le, a prominent litigator whose ability to understand and navigate Vietnam’s regulatory space proves vital to clients embroiled in complex cases. The group in particular are well regarded for their adeptness in tax law and employment-related disputes, and are competent advising on Vietnamese law in foreign court battles. Two counsels represent the other key figures in the practice: Diep Nguyen, who is known for her work on contract violations and enforcing obligations; and Nhi Luong, who has been active on cases involving giants in the insurance and food and beverage industries.
