Abhishek Saxena is a co-founding partner based out of New Delhi office of Phoenix Legal.
Abhishek Saxena’s practice includes corporate transactional work including joint ventures and M&A, projects (including project financing), private equity, structuring and tax advisory, foreign investment and regulation, bankruptcy.
Abhishek has over two decades of experience, advising on a variety of cross border deals and continues to be associated with a number of complex and prestigious projects in oil and gas, power, infrastructure and energy sector. He represents large and reputed Indian companies, foreign investors and multinational corporations (including Fortune 100 companies) in various sectors.
Abhishek has significant experience in financing, structuring, documentation, negotiations, disputes, etc. with various stake holders in energy sector. He has acted as lead counsel for terminalling, transportation and regasification arrangements for LNG regasification terminal. He also has experience in structuring design, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, public private partnership (PPP) models, tender process followed in various energy projects, including EPC contracts, transportation arrangements, power purchase agreements, port arrangements, LNG tolling arrangements, etc. He regularly advises on regulatory issues in the sector. He has dealt with and finalized master tolling agreements, gas sale and purchase agreements, concession agreements, global tender for floating shipping and regasification unit (FSRU) and various other complex contractual arrangements. He has also been involved with drafting and negotiations of power purchase agreements for both conventional and non-conventional energy sources.
