Supporting innovation in therapies and contributing to the improvement of patient’s quality of life, Thomas has been working both as a lawyer at international firms and In-House Legal Director in the Medtech and Biotech industry.

With almost 20 years’ experience as a regulatory and compliance expert, he has an extensive practice in global and cross-functional projects at most steps of the health products’ life cycle. Thomas is a trusted advisor for leaders of the Life Sciences Industry. He provides legal support (advising, drafting regulated contracts and leading related litigations) for products’ development and therapeutic value demonstration (regulatory licenses, market access) and products’ distribution and commercialisation (supply chain, promotion, sales, vigilance and recalls). He is also a key partner for compliance officers (advising on ethical issues, leading internal audits or investigations, defending D&Os in court proceedings).

After 14 years with Baker & McKenzie, Thomas joined the industry and spent five years with Baxter, Baxalta and Shire in various regional positions as Legal Director (France & Benelux, South Europe and EMEA) before joining Osborne Clarke in Paris.

Thomas has a Masters in European Regulations of Health Products (Lille) and holds a Doctorate in Commercial Law (Lyon: thesis on the regulatory framework for marketing pharmaceuticals).
