Career

Grazia is a Partner specialising in banking, financial services, insurance and international finance law.

She advises on banking and financial services matter foreign international banks and financial institutions, Italian public and private companies, market management companies, central securities depositories and central counterparty clearing houses.

In addition, she advises leading merchant banks on regulatory issues.

Grazia has provided assistance in the setting up of banks, investment firms, financial intermediaries as asset management companies and advises primary banks, investment firms, stock exchanges, central securities depositaries in relation to the whole range of primary and secondary regulations applicable to the financial services and banking sector.

She has assisted in the drawing up and updating of one global SIFI recovery and resolution plan and advises the group in the implementation of the provisions of the Recovery and Resolution Directive.

Grazia advises primary banking institutions in issues relating to capital adequacy and on risk mitigation techniques and drafts legal opinions on compliance with CRR provisions of credit risk mitigation techniques.

She has advised on some the most significant mergers and restructuring projects in the banking and financial sectors in the last years.

Since the acquisition of Borsa Italiana by the London Stock Exchange Group (on which it advised for the regulatory aspects)  she advises the Italian companies within the London Stock Exchange Group, including Borsa Italiana, MTS, Monte Titoli, Cassa di Compensazione e Garanzia on all matters concerning the regulation of stock exchanges and the trading and post-trading activities.

She regularly advises banks providing global custodia services with regard to the provision of custody services and the activity of depositary for collective investment schemes and pension funds.

She advises on the execution of derivative contracts and delivers opinions in connection thereto to primary international groups.

Grazia has been member of the board of directors of a primary Italian bank.
