Leszek Tokarski is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Poland, a partner of Rymarz Zdort Maruta and the head of the tax department. He has over 25 years of experience providing tax advisory services, which he gained at two of the Big4 accounting firms, where he headed tax practices, and during his work for the Ministry of Finance. He joined Rymarz Zdort (formerly known as Weil, Gotshal & Manges – Pawel Rymarz sp.k.) in 2020.

He worked on the introduction of new tax laws into the legal system, including the Corporate Income Tax Act and the Goods and Services Tax Act. Leszek advises the largest domestic and international banks, insurance companies and leasing companies. He provides tax advisory services to major Polish and global corporate clients active in the FMCG, oil and gas, and real estate sectors. He has been responsible for M&A projects, equity and debt transactions, restructurings of capital groups, and regulatory projects such as MDR and split payments.

Leszek’s practice has been focused specifically on litigation and the handling of proceedings involving tax matters. He represents the largest Polish and international corporations with regard to corporate income tax, VAT and asset tax, and defends members of their management authorities in penal fiscal liability cases.
