O’Farrell’s Senior Partner, Uriel F O’Farrell, focuses his practice on corporate work, M&A, and energy transactions, regulation and disputes. He joined the firm in 1977.

Career

During 1978 Mr. O´Farrell worked in Ford Motor Company Legal Department (Dearborn Michigan, USA).

Mr. O´Farrell advised numerous domestic and foreign companies in corporate matters and in the energy and infrastructure sectors including oil production and exploration; natural gas production and distribution and electricity generation, transmission, marketing and distribution.
In the above mentioned areas he has participated in large mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and privatizations transactions, financing, regulatory advice, litigation and arbitration including investment treaty arbitration.

Among others, Mr. O´Farrell has advised Pampa Energía S.A., and its electricity distributors and power generating companies as well as The National Grid Co. Plc, Duke Power, the Uruguay electricity and gas utilities (UTE), EXXON, Gas Natural SDG, Suez, ENI S.p.A. (Italy) and YPF S.A. and Compañía General de Electricidad.
