Kuit Steinart Levy LLP routinely acts for business owners, particularly owners of family-run businesses, on managing their estates. The team’s work on succession planning aids clients in protecting and passing on their businesses in a tax-efficient manner. The practice is also active in estate administration and the representation of vulnerable individuals, including acting in multi-jurisdictional matters. A particular niche specialism for the firm is the creation and management of personal injury trusts to hold compensation awarded following injuries, preventing these funds from being assessed for means-tested benefits purposes. Estate planning specialist Graham Wood leads the team, and is ably supported by the ‘highly approachable and technically excellent’ Paul Bricknell. Elaine Roche joined the practice from JMW Solicitors LLP in May 2020.
