Position

Admitted to the bar in 2013, Joris specializes in insolvency law. He counsels (stakeholders of) businesses faced with (imminent) bankruptcies. Joris also advises his clients on (WHOA) restructurings, securities and directors’ liability.

Joris is regularly appointed by the District Court of Amsterdam as receiver and has extensive experience in handling large-scale moratoriums and bankruptcies. He is an expert on the Dutch Act on the Confirmation of Private Restructuring Plans (WHOA) and is available to fulfill the role of restructuring expert and observer.

He is also one of the authors of the Dutch chapter of the ‘Chambers Global Practice Guide on Insolvency 2022’
