Waleed Al Tattan is one of Kuwait’s most prominent litigation and dispute resolution lawyers, having represented clients in many cases and lawsuits of various nature and litigation degrees. His experience spans for over 40 years in the practice.
Waleed enjoys a highly and distinctive level of broad accumulative. Through his career he contributed in the realization of significant judgments with resounding impact which established new legal principles paving the way for the interpretation of laws, like, the Kuwait Companies Law, the Capital Markets Law, the Financial Stability Law, the Agency Law and the Protection of Competition Law.
His experience in dispute resolution matters is unmatched; he is very well known among his peers in Kuwait for being a legal reference for all litigation matters, he participated in the preparation of legal studies on disputes in various sectors.

- Ford Motor Company in its dispute regarding its Agency in Kuwait against Arabian Motors Group’s. This is perhaps the most high-profile litigation in Kuwait right now. Represent Ford in connection with the registration of a new Kuwaiti commercial agent, and in connection with the defense of claims in local courts brought by Arabian Motors Group, its previous Kuwaiti commercial agent. Both the termination and the registration arrangements were made under Kuwait’s new commercial agency law which came into force in March 2016.
- Daimler AG in its dispute regarding its Agency in Kuwait against the previous agent. Represent Ford in connection with the registration of a new Kuwaiti commercial agent, and in connection with the defense of claims in local courts brought by its previous Kuwaiti commercial agent. Both the termination and the registration arrangements were made under Kuwait’s new commercial agency law which came into force in March 2016.
- Advised the Government of Kuwait on the $85 billion development of Madinat al-Hareer (Silk City), a 450 square kilometer city on the northern coast of Kuwait Bay with residential, leisure, commercial and industrial components, including road, rail, sea, and airport infrastructure.
