Career

Emanuel joined EY in 2013. Previously, he acted as Legal Director for Japan Tobacco and worked for 8 years with PWC.

He coordinates projects related to the management of tax dispute resolution and litigation.  His professional experience covers challenging and suspending fiscal administrative acts, licenses, authorizations, permits and fines imposed by fiscal authorities, litigations regarding various administrative acts, public procurement procedures, commercial disputes, as well as executing and/or challenging enforcement procedures.

Having set an important legal precedent in obtaining default legal interest from the state because of the late refund of the VAT requested by his clients, Emanuel’s practice became the major player in business law in what concerns the compelling of tax authorities by the court to pay late interest to taxpayers.
