Career
Călin is Partner with Bancila, Diaconu si Asociatii SPRL, the affiliated law firm of EY in Romania, since 2015. Previously, he was a junior associate with D&B David şi Baias SCA, correspondent law firm of PwC in Romania (2008 – 2009), associate with Peli Filip SCA (2009 – 2012), senior associate with Reff & Asociates SCA, correspondent law firm of Deloitte in Romania (2012 – 2015).
Călin is involved primarily in tax controversy and tax litigation matters, including assistance and representation of clients in tax audits, tax challenges and tax litigation in front of courts of law dealing with tax litigation projects concerning, inter alia, VAT, corporate income tax and transfer pricing disputes.
Between 2013 and 2015 Călin was an active member of the team acting on behalf of Deloitte Romania in AmCham committee in charge with discussing the content of the Tax Procedure Code project with the representatives of the Romanian Ministry of Finance. Călin currently attend and facilitate seminars and trainings organized by EY Romania and Radu si Asociatii SPRL with regard to Romania tax procedure matters.
