Career
In his professional career Rui started giving advisory to both private and public entities on matters related to environmental and energy law, as well as real estate, zoning and planning law. Rui has then solely focused in real estate, zoning and planning by advising on real estate acquisitions and sales, incorporations of tourism developments and multiple ownership properties as well as the negotiation of lease agreements mostly in services and logistical properties, both with national and international clients.
Alongside his real estate expertise, Rui also has significant corporate and finance experience, the latest gathered with the structuring of financing to real estate development or acquisitions and real estate investment funds. He has also been giving advice to investment funds’ management companies, private equity and private clients in their current affairs, namely in the preparation, negotiation and execution of contracts.
As part of his day to day cooperation with fund management companies and real estate companies, he is also used to implement and coordinate the sale / acquisition of real estate portfolios, as well as structuring developments for specific purposes, such as off-plan purchases and golden visa investments.
