Position

Sam Bawden is a Partner, as well as being head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department and Construction Division.

As a specialist construction solicitor, 100% of Sam’s caseload reflects his specialism in Construction Law. Daily, Sam works on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious Construction Law matters, working with developers, main contractors, sub-contractors, builders, and trade persons.

Sam is highly experienced in adjudication, arbitration and dispute resolution, Sam also advises on contracts and terms and conditions as well as payment disputes, defective work, extensions of time and loss and expense claims and collateral warranties.

Moreover, Sam and the Construction Division provide non-contentious constructions services, including highly engaging training for commercial and contract directors and managers aimed at improving their contractual engagement and issuance procedures so as to protect from and mitigate legal risk.

Career

Sam has been a Partner at Holmes & Hills since 2015 and has extensive managerial and leadership capability. Sam has a long-established reputation in the Construction sector and takes a lead role in significant matters for the Construction Division.
