Position

Chris is a Senior Associate in the Holmes & Hills Commercial Property Department and lead for the specialist Land and Development Division therein.

Chris is a specialist land and development solicitor, he works in collaboration with clients to facilitate development opportunities. Chris advises and represents the firm’s developer, landowner, and land promoter clients in all legal matters relating to land assets and development projects. Chris leads on the provision of strategic advice covering reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and exercising complex development agreements, including option agreements, conditional contracts, consortium agreements, joint venture agreements and land promotion agreements. Chris is also regularly dealing with complex development funding and multi-layered funding facilities, agreements and deeds relating to utilities, acquisition, and sale of land for development, strategic advice concerning land assets and carrying out full due diligence of land and resolution of issues acting as barriers to potential development.

Career

Prior to joining Holmes & Hills, Chris has been working within the land and development field in the region for over a decade, solely advising large regional and national developers. Since joining Holmes & Hills in 2022, Chris has made a major contribution to the matters of Holmes & Hills existing and new, large, and extensive client base with land and development legal issues. Chris leads the day-to-day operation of the firms Land and Development Division, working closely alongside Rebecca Mason.

In 2023, Chris Milner was promoted from Associate to Senior Associate.

Chris is integral in the firm’s reputation in regard to development and land matters and spearheads the firm’s Facilitating Development seminars alongside Rebecca Mason.
