Position

As an attorney-at-law and counsel with the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Risk Management, and Competition & Regulatory teams, my primary focus is Shareholders’ and Corporate disputes. I have significant experience in arbitration and criminal law.

Career

Wide ranging experience in disputes. I have considerable experience successfully advising local and international clients in a wide range of disputes in both court and arbitration proceedings, as well as negotiations and the pre-trial stage.

Landmark cases. One of the most significant projects I have been involved in is an ongoing dispute where I represent both Lithuanian and foreign clients against one of the largest retail chains in Lithuania. The dispute value amounts to almost EUR 300 million.

I also successfully represented the client in a dispute regarding breach of contractual guarantees after selling 100% of the company’s shares. The dispute was rather complex, requiring expertise in procedural matters as well as knowledge in the construction, transportation and public procurement fields.

Expert in the arbitration field. I am on the list of arbitrators at Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration (VCCA), the best known and most reputable arbitration institution in Lithuania and among the Baltic States. I gained experience in the arbitration field both internally while working at the VCCA and externally while representing international and national clients in arbitration proceedings. My interest and passion for arbitration started in the early years of university and is still very much alive.

Legal due diligence in complex transactions. I performed legal due diligence in a major M&A transaction resulting in the merger of Nordea and DNB banks and creation of new banking group Luminor.
