Prior to founding BGI in 2005, Lasha Gogiberidze was the head of corporate practice at EY Law Tbilisi Office and GCG Law office (first independent international law firm operating in Georgia). Lasha Gogiberidze started his legal carrier at the program officer at ABA CEELI office in Tbilisi in 1996, and clecked for the chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia before being award Edmund Muskie Fellowship Program Award enabling him to pursue his studies in the US. After his return to Georgia in 1998 he has been a part of the core team of lawyers that transitioned from GCG Law Office to EY and subsequently founded BGI Legal
