Career

A member of the Paris Bar since 2004, Martin Tissier specializes in public and administrative law, and especially in public business law.

His area of expertise encompasses the transactional and litigation side of public procurement, the economic regulation of utilities and specifically network industries (energy, transport, communications and water), State aid law, the operation of local authorities and the public bodies attached to them, and zoning and environmental law.

Before joining Bersay in 2018, Martin began his career in 1999 in Brazil, working at Wald & Associados law firm in São Paulo. He then worked at UGGC & Associés and, as a consultant, at AVICCA, a French lobby of local authorities dedicated to telecom and media. In 2004, he joined Bird & Bird. After a stint at Seban & Associés in 2009, he founded Cabinet B.O.T. Avocats in 2010, a firm specialized in public economic law.
In the 2023 edition of “Best Lawyers”, Martin was recognized by his peers as one of the best practitioners in “Public Law”. He was also recognized as a “Next Generation Partner” in the “Telecoms” category of Legal 500 EMEA 2023.
