Bruun & Hjejle‘s energy and infrastructure team assists clients across a variety of issues including M&A transactions, complex energy-related investments, financings, regulatory matters, and disputes in the oil and gas, electricity, and renewables sectors. The department is co-led by the highly experienced Karsten Kristoffersen, who advises energy clients on complex disputes and investigations focusing on natural gas, offshore and infrastructure issues; Lars Kongsgaard Hansen, who is experienced in large cross-border investments in renewable energy, infrastructure assets and projects; and Lasse Mikkelsen, who has expertise in energy disputes.

Bruun & Hjejle is known for its capability in major cross-border dispute resolution mandates and is particularly active in disputes arising from the financial services and energy sectors. The ‘competent and efficient’ team is known for its strong expertise in commercial disputes, professional liability claims, competition matters, tax disputes, state aid claims and public law issues; white-collar crime issues, including complex internal investigations and criminal proceedings, form another core pillar of the group’s workload. Practice head Karsten Kristoffersen is a key contact for all things related to banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and oil and gas disputes, while Ole Spiermann represents major Danish financial institutions on a wide range of matters. At the junior level, senior manager Josefine Movin Østergaard assists on many of the team’s key mandates.
