Career

Stig Engelhart works broadly in the energy space [and other regulated industries], with a particular focus on transactional and regulatory work. With a background in oil and gas, Stig has advised in a number of key transactions and activities both in the renewable energy space and in the oil and gas market. Stig has previously served as in-house advisor to Aker BP and as Chief Legal Officer of Aker Energy, where he formed part of the Executive Management Team. Stig has extensive M&A experience nationally and internationally, and has had a leading role in many of the largest transactions in recent years.

Stig also has substantial experience from negotiating other complex and high-value contracts, such as the negotiation of unitisation agreements for the coordination of ownership of oil and gas fields crossing license borders and the negotiation of petroleum agreements with foreign governments. Stig also has extensive experience from setting up partnerships within the renewable energy space and in providing strategic advise in relation to the regulatory framework.
