Career

Micaela is a managing associate in the Public Law practice and has 13 years of experience in urban and spatial planning law, including administrative litigation.
She focuses on handling various types of administrative licensing procedures and real estate transactions, as well as drafting and executing urban planning contracts and planning agreements.

In the area of land use planning and urban renewal, she has advised on the drafting of land management instruments, the revision of administrative regulations, the approval of implementing units and urban renewal operations.

She holds a master’s degree in administrative law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a postgraduate diploma in administrative litigation from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Prior to joining PLMJ, Micaela was an assistant to the Secretary of State for Spatial Planning and Nature Conservation in the 19th Constitutional Government and an adviser to the Councillor for Planning, Urban Development, Urban Regeneration and Citizen Relations at Lisbon City Council.
