Partner. Danielle Gomes de Almeida Valois joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in
2011. For the past 17 years, Mrs. Valois has built a law practice focused on oil and
gas domestic and multi-jurisdictional projects. Her il and gas experience extends to
all legal aspects involved in the CAPEX and OPEX phases of a development project,
including the structuring of financial arrangements, drafting and negotiation of EPC
and Operation and Maintenance Agreements, as well as representation of clients in
construction disputes. Mrs. Valois has also a vast experience in representing NOCs,
IOCs and oil and gas services providers in M&A deals. Mrs. Valois is listed as a leading
individual in Oil & Gas at Chambers & Partners and serves as the Leading Young
Negotiator Representative for the LA Chapter of the Association. Registered at the Brazilian Bar
Association in 2000, Rio de Janeiro Chapter. Founding Member of the “Comitê Brasileiro
de Arbitragem” (Brazilian Arbitration Committee) and Young Negotiators Representative
for the Latin America Chapter of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators

Another area of focus is dispute resolution, with the team recently representing Petrobras, BP and Petrogal in an arbitration against oil agency ANP regarding the classification of the oil reservoirs of Lula as one or several fields for purposes of calculating royalties.
