MMD is successfully following the investment boom in Serbia over the course of the last 5 years. In this practice area, MMD is supporting its reputable clients in wide range of different businesses: consultancy and engineering, retail, hospitality and leisure, logistics.

The firm provides comprehensive legal advice throughout every phase of their real estate undertakings, from the initial research, structuring and planning to their implementation including assistance in eventual disputes. Our team is proficient in integrated legal support of the government’s subsidies and actively participated in negotiations with the authorities in some of the major real estate projects in Serbia.

Our recent practice includes: green field investments legal analysis, joint ventures setups, complex enabling works agreement, design & built agreement under the FIDIC book, various construction agreements (FIDIC included), tendering procedures and negotiations with general contractors.

Dispute resolution

MMD has one of Serbia’s strongest dispute resolution practices, with trained and experienced lawyers, offering its clients service in all types of civil, commercial and administrative litigation, before national courts as well before International Court of Arbitration (ICC Paris) and Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT Geneva).

Our well-coordinated team of professionals has handled some of the most important cases in recent years, successfully representing both foreign and national corporate clients on both sides of the litigation process.

We are duly familiar with a court practice and stances of the courts in all important fields, which sometimes can be decisive for successful closure of the case to the benefit of our clients. We are very active in real estate related disputes of high value. In addition, our engagement in real estate projects as of beginning gives us possibility to monitor the project and to be familiar with all aspects of the same, which is usually positively reflected in litigation procedures as well.
