GC POWERLIST: CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

On 9 November, The Legal 500 marked the publication of the first Central and Eastern Europe Powerlist with a cocktail reception at the Mandarin Oriental in Prague. The GC Powerlist: Central and Eastern Europe recognised the best and most influential GCs from Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The selection was based on an extensive list of nominations and was backed by a three month period of independent research and interviews conducted by The Legal 500’s dedicated client intelligence team.

Having collated hundreds of nominations from law firm partners and fellow in-house practitioners based in Central and Eastern Europe, the final list showcases the best legal talent in the region. The full list of those included can be found here.

Around 70 GCs from a number of countries were present at the launch event to celebrate and discuss their experiences of working in region. Following a welcome address by James Wood of The Legal 500 guests heard from Rafał Poznalski, head of legal at LG Electronics Polska. Poznalski’s speech hit a note with the audience, and his amusing observations on working in-house was the perfect conversation starter among the audience.

The Legal 500, along with sponsors Kochański Zięba & Partners of Poland, Aequo of Ukraine, Maravela & Asociaţii of Romania, Forgó, Damjanovic & Partners Law Firm of Hungary and Gecić Law of Serbia, would like to thank all those who came to the event, and in particular those who travelled long distances to celebrate with us.
