Career

Andrew joined 9 Stone Buildings in October 2020 on successful completion of his pupillage. He was supervised by Rory Brown, Martin Young, and Peter Shaw QC.

He is building a broad chancery and commercial practice and accepts instructions in all core areas of chambers’ practice.

Prior to pupillage, Andrew was Judicial Assistant to the Rt Hon. Lord Justice David Richards and worked for the corporate law resource FromCounsel.

INSOLVENCY & COMPANY

Andrew has worked on a wide range of insolvency and company matters, including major claims for breach of a director’s duties. He has appeared as an advocate in the winding up list and, during pupillage, assisted in claims involving fraudulent trading and transactions at an undervalue.

PRIVATE CLIENT

Andrew has assisted with a wide variety of claims involving wills and trusts including 1975 Act claims, claims disputing the validity of wills, and contentious probate matters involving successful mediation.

COMMERCIAL

Andrew is building a commercial practice both as a sole advocate in the County Court and assisting with High Court matters. He has acted as junior in applications for interim relief and committal for breach of court orders, and assisted with procedural applications including for relief from sanctions.

LAND & PROPERTY

Andrew has worked on a variety of property matters. He has assisted with claims for the rectification of the register and beneficial ownership claims as well as issues of landlord and tenant law.
