Position

Adrian’s practice encompasses financial remedies and private disputes regarding children. He also advises in cases under TOLATA 1996, the Inheritance Act 1975 and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. He has experience in representing clients at all levels of court up to and including the Court of Appeal.

Career

Adrian practises primarily in the field of financial remedies and associated matters relating to divorce. He represents clients at each stage of these proceedings, from first appointments to multi-day final hearings, with both limited and extensive asset bases. He has a particular interest in cases involving complex pensions assets. Adrian has also appeared in cases involving engagement with the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

Adrian’s experience covers the full range of private children orders, including “lives with”, “spends time” orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issues Orders, Parental Responsibility Orders and both international and internal relocation. He also advises in applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. He has extensive experience in dealing with fact-finding hearings involving serious allegations of domestic abuse and emotional harm as well as cases involving r.16.4 Children’s Guardians and those which also include a public law element.

Adrian is Public Access Qualified and can accept instructions directly from members of the public.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Adrian was a paralegal in a Magic Circle law firm working in the pensions team.
