Career

Ben has over 20 years’ experience in the trade mark profession and provides the full range of contentious and non-contentious trade mark specific services, including filing, prosecution, opposition, cancellation, maintenance, search and clearance, and advises clients on infringement, passing off, enforcement, strategic issues, dispute resolution and mediation. He represents clients before the UK Trade Marks Registry in inter partes and ex parte proceedings. Ben’s clients include household names in the luxury goods, film, sporting equipment, food, fashion and gaming sectors, as well as SME clients in, amongst others, the pharmaceutical, retail, automotive, drinks, art, charity and trade association sectors.

Ben worked for a number of years with the global law firm Clifford Chance and joined J A Kemp in 2012 after working elsewhere in private practice.
