In practice, Morgan excels as a team player as well as a leader. While she skillfully guides and counsels her clients to help either avoid disputes or provide effective representation, she involves them at every stage.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Morgan has an intimate familiarity with the culture and nuances of the local legal and business communities, and community at large. Her familiarity extends beyond BC’s borders, with the national and global exposure she gained during her academic years, which took her from New Brunswick to Ontario, and all the way to China. Morgan’s professional path has been equally diverse and enriching, as she started her career as a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Supreme Court.

To complement her dynamic law practice, Morgan has shared her extensive knowledge with the broader legal community, as a frequent contributor to various continuing legal education courses. Morgan is a current author of Introducing Evidence at Trial: A British Columbia Handbook (4th ed., CLE BC 2020) and a past contributing editor to Fraser, Horn & Griffin, The Conduct of Civil Litigation in British Columbia, looseleaf (Ontario: LexisNexis Canada Inc., 2007), both cornerstone resources for the litigation bar in British Columbia.

Morgan maintains a strong commitment to her community, not only at Dentons, as a recognized mentor to students and young lawyers, but also through various pro bono and other community-based volunteer activities. She has a busy pro bono practice, where she represents clients on a variety of legal issues, including criminal law. She holds both leadership and membership positions on various boards of directors, and is currently a member of the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal. As a result of her work, Morgan was honoured with the 2009 Salvation Army Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award, and as a 2014 finalist for the PRIDE Legacy Awards, recognizing her outstanding achievement as a Community Leader.
