Career
Robert Bothwell is a partner in Dentons’ Corporate and Real Estate groups. Based in Edmonton, Robert has an extensive commercial real estate practice, supporting clients in various transactions, financings and developing retail, condo and mixed-use properties.
With a broad client base supporting developers, financial institutions, corporations, partnerships and individual entrepreneurs, he provides strategic advice to advance clients’ objectives while developing strong relationships between parties. He also represents a variety of landlords and tenants with respect to the negotiation and enforcement of office, retail, industrial, farm and ground leases.
Robert is well-known in the local Edmonton market, having served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Edmonton Downtown Business Association, and currently acting as a member of the Executive Committee. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and NAIOP.

Other key figures include Jillian Shortt, who operates out of the Toronto and Calgary offices and who assists with the creation of single and two-tier joint venture structures and limited partnerships.
