Fermín Garbayo is the Partner in charge of the Energy practice at the Madrid office. He is a highly experienced lawyer in the acquisition and financing of renewable energy projects, both greenfield and brownfield, as well as in the negotiation of their construction contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and O&M contracts. Previously, he was a partner in the Energy Department of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo since 2004 and led the opening of its offices in London (2007) and Lisbon (2009).

He has been advising some of the main Spanish electricity companies in contractual matters for the diversification of their value-added product offerings as well as in insolvency and litigation. He also advises national and international funds in the acquisition and/or development of energy and infrastructure projects, mainly in Spain.
