Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser advises and represents clients in connection with contentious and non-contentious issues relating to trademarks, designs, copyrights, patents, data protection, unfair competition and advertisement.

She has substantial experience in the drafting and enforcement of contracts for the transfer of intellectual property rights, especially license agreements. She further regularly deals with all due diligence relevant IP aspects of corporate transactions. Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser also focuses on anti-counterfeiting, including customs procedure.

Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser advises clients across a broad range of industry sectors, including listed as well as small and mid-cap companies and individuals. Her clients are among other information technology companies, pharmaceutical companies, mechanical engineering companies and banks as well as fashion and sport equipment producers and food and consumer goods producers.

Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser has been admitted to the bar in 1996 and has since been working for different patent attorney and law firms in Basel and Zurich. She publishes regularly in the field of intellectual property and unfair competition law and lectures since 2003 at the MAS Marketing and Management of the University of Basel.
