Career

Ivo holds a bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D, and Full Professor Degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP), in addition to a LLM in Trade Regulation degree from New York University. Besides 25 years of experience in restructuring, corporate, project finance, banking, and arbitration issues, he acts frequently as arbitrator in arbitration disputes. He is also a Professor in Commercial Law at PUC/SP and has authored numerous books and papers on legal issues. Recognized by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Leaders League and Who’s Who Legal. On the arbitration practice, he acts both as counsel for the parties and as an arbitrator, as he is a permanent member of the list of arbitrators of the Chamber of Market Arbitration of the São Paulo Stock Exchange – CAM BMF&Bovespa, Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada – CAM-CCBC, among others.
