Career

For over two decades, Alejandro has been advising and representing Fortune 500 and other renowned companies around the world in establishing, operating, monitoring and growing their investments in Mexico and Latin America. He specializes in assisting companies with their initial expansion in the region, as well as helping established companies in all aspects of conducting international business. Alejandro maintains a diverse practice representing companies in a broad range of industries, including energy, hospitality (developers, managers and financing), private equity, real estate and retail (including direct sales).

Alejandro is motivated by the challenge of finding new solutions to deliver successful results. He has represented clients in various transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate and tax structuring, project finance and project management. He also has experience in anti-corruption assessment, compliance, consumer law, due diligence assessments, expert witness, human resource and labor law, litigation assessments and privacy law. Due to his extensive experience, he provides high-quality and tailor-made legal services to his clients.

Alejandro is a member of the Texas State Bar, New York State Bar. Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce, in Mexico City.

Alejandro acquired international experience at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, Dallas and Mexico City from 1996 to 2014.

Alejandro also participates in pro-bono activities in the US, advising people with limited resources on civil and immigration law.

He went to Columbia Law School 1996, LL.M. with a concentration in Corporate and Tax Structuring and attained his law degree at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM) – School of Law 1994, Juris Doctorate.
