Ms Berta Grilo
Career
Partner of FBL since 2019, Berta focus her activity in Banking and Financing, M&A and Corporate Law. Berta holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Portugal (2007) and a Post-Graduate in Taxation from the Catholic University of Lisbon, Portugal (2010). She started her career at Abreu Advogados, Portugal (2007) and enjoyed FBL in 2011. She has also worked at Standard Bank Angola as a Senior Legal Manager, providing legal assistance to the Business teams, and as a Legal Advisor of the Angolan Constitutional Court. Berta was also a member of the Subcommittee of Reform of the Angolan Justice, a temporary group established to review and modernize the Angolan corporate laws, and has also been involved in drafting other laws in Angola. Berta is an admitted attorney by both the Angolan and Portuguese Bar Associations, and a member of ACGA (Angolan Corporate Governance Association).
